Two cabin categories

The Al Ándalus offers two types of accommodation, both en-suite, air-conditioned and framed by large windows onto southern Spain — the spacious Deluxe Suite and the cosy Gran Clase Room, 32 restored cabins in all.

Deluxe Suite

Double bed / daytime sofa · private bathroom · 20 aboard

A spacious, elegant suite — a bedroom with a private bathroom, made for rest and privacy. Its large bed converts into a comfortable sofa by day, and the crew will open and make it up again each evening. The roomy bathroom has a shower, hairdryer and a full set of toiletries; a safe, minibar, wardrobe, luggage rack and individually controlled air-conditioning complete the 21st-century comforts, all within the historic train's original 1920s appearance. Twenty Deluxe Suites aboard.

Gran Clase Room

Two single beds / daytime armchairs · private bathroom · 12 aboard

A cosy room that keeps the size and atmosphere of the train's original compartments. It has two single beds that become comfortable armchairs during the day, plus a minibar, safe, wardrobe, luggage rack and adjustable air-conditioning. Its functional private bathroom makes the most of the space, with a shower, hairdryer and a full set of welcome toiletries. Twelve Gran Clase Rooms aboard — the first to sell each season.

Lounge & Bar Cars

The Al Ándalus carries four railway gems — its four lounge cars of 1928 and 1930. These common areas are open 24 hours for leisure and the pleasure of the journey: restaurant cars, a bar car and a tea room, with buffet breakfast, live musical performances, a drink and the passing scenery, all in marquetry and brass. The social heart of the largest and most spacious of luxury trains.

Gastronomy

Southern Spain is a feast of flavour, and the dining car is at the heart of the journey: Andalusian and Extremaduran cuisine, Iberian ham, seafood and gazpacho, paired with sherry from Jerez and the great wines of Spain — lunches and dinners on board or in first-class restaurants along the route, served with Belle Époque ceremony.
